If it is not in here chances are it didn't matter. Early in his career Houzeau assisted at the Observatory in Brussels, and later spent time in North America (1857-1868) and Jamaica (1868-1876). He returned to Brussels and became director at the Royal Observatory of Belgium (1876-1883). Houzeau made a significant contribution to astronomy, including his monumental Bibliographie generale de l'astronomie. First Edition.
